"We couldn't load the Data Model. This may be because the Data Model in this workgroup is damaged"

Hello,

I have just installed MS Office 2013 Proffessional Plus. I have also Installed SP1. I am local admin on my computer. When I try to use PowerPivot and load my table into the data model I get the error message "We couldn't load the Data Model. This may be because the Data Model in this workgroup is damaged"

Any suggestions or help would be highly appreciated.

HiBased on the error message, I recommend you try the following steps if you have not tried:

1. Install the latest update patches, please see the below link, and I copied here:

>>The problem here is a memory conflict between AS in excel in tabular (both want a lot of memory). When AS in Excel doesnt get the memory it wants it fails. We are working on a fix that will resolve this issue in an upcomming update of Office 2013.<<

2. Run Excel 2013 64bit version as admin rights

3. Add the USER group and allow more permissions

4. Someone work out this issue to stop the Tabular Model instance.

Hope it's helpful.
